AVIS JFK SUPPLY CHAIN FACILITY
Building 336 JFK International Airport, Jamaica, NY
As part of the JFK Redevelopment program, Graf & Lewent was retained to design a new 2-acre Facility to replace portions of its existing JFK facilities that were impacted by JFK Redevelopment roadway improvements.
The project included a new 4,400 square foot Maintenance Building, vehicle entrance with access control, Quick Turnaround fuel island, vehicle storage layouts, site lighting and EV chargers. The new Maintenance Building included four vehicle repair bays with Fluid Distribution System, Break Room, Parts Storage and Utility Rooms. A new power substation was designed to serve the site as part of the project.
Due to the project’s integration with JFK Redevelopment, Graf & Lewent coordinated closely with the Port Authority’s JFK Redevelopment team while designing the facilities to meet Avis’s exacting requirements. The project design exceeded the requirements for LEED certification, including a photovoltaic array, innovative heating and lighting designs, and the use of lowered-carbon concrete, among other sustainable design initiatives
