The Project involved the complete gut renovation of an existing lab into a new Organic Chemistry laboratory. The lab includes all new casework finishes, equipment, lighting and HVAC system. The 12 fume hoods are low flow hoods, tied into an air handling unit with two exhaust fans for back up capabilities. The system is maintained and controlled by an automated building management system, to minimize energy use. This Brooklyn College Lab is part of a larger project involving three other labs that we were designing for CUNY at the same time. The other labs were located at Queens College and New York Institute of Technology.
