Graf & Lewent was retained by CUNY to design a new 2000 square foot Sound Studio for Hostos Community College. The project entailed complete A/E services plus audio visual design, acoustical design, MEP infrastructure, and the selection of all the finishes. The Sound Studio is situated on a floating wood floor with double thick walls which have an STC rating of 72. In addition, the ceiling is composed of special acoustical diffusers while the walls have two type of sound treatment to aid with the acoustics.
