In-Line Baggage Handling System & Terminal Addition

This 20,000 square foot, 2-Story Terminal Addition was designed  to house  a new In-Line Baggage Handling System and  Airline Operations space.  The exterior was designed to harmonize with the existing terminal.  Due to the extremely tight site conditions, the addition  integrated the adjoining Emergency Equipment Garage and Ground Service Equipment Building, as well as the Terminal.  By removing the baggage screening from the Terminal lobby,  the passenger ticketing area was improved with better circulation and increased capacity.  The second floor adds about 10,000 square feet of   office spaces and conference facilities.   The project was designed in accordance with Westchester County Sustainable Design initiatives.
