Lab Renovations
Queens College, Razran Hall
Project Size: 3,800 square feet
Graf & Lewent Architects was retained by CUNY and Queens College to completely gut renovate four existing labs in Razran Hall on their Queens Campus. The new labs included an Anthropology Lab, Biology Labs, Psychology Microscopy Lab and Psychology Behavioral Lab. Together the labs totaled about 3,800 square feet. The Psychology Behavioral Lab, which contained about 1020 square feet, and is pictured above was designed for psychological and / or behavioral animal studies with five rooms with animal / operant activity behavior kits and an adjacent wet lab. The wet lab included the typical array of utilities including air, gas and vacuum, plus a low flow high performance fume hood. The lab also received all new finishes, new casework and lighting.
