United retained Graf & Lewent to provide a comprehensive redesign of their Newark Airport Flight Operations Base. This 2-floor, 12,000 square foot project upgraded the spaces used by Pilots’ while at EWR, including new Flight Planning stations, Pilots’ Lounges, Administrative Offices, a Pilot Training section, and new Bathrooms. The renovation also included the installation of an elevator connecting the Flight Ops facilities at the Operations and Concourse Levels. The design reflected United’s upgraded corporate standards for Flight Operations spaces. Graf & Lewent worked with United Real Estate and Flight Ops leaders to program the facility and identify best practices from other similar facilities.
